If you are planning on having your split system air conditioner or heat pump replaced,   make sure that your installer plans on running a nitrogen purge though the refrigerant pipes during the installation process,  and that they have the equipment and training to pull a deep vacuum.  Doing it right is far less common than you might imagine.
